NOKIA’S N97

N97 mini gets its shipping papers. Right on cue, the smaller-but-just-barely N97 mini is now ready for public consumption over in Europe. Granted, we're certainly at the tail end of October, but we can't say that we caught Nokia in a lie or anything based on what was said last month in Stuttgart. You've already committed the specifications to memory and read all about firmware 2.0, so now all that's left to do is run along, fork out €450 ($667) and wonder forever if this decision will...

WAITING FOR A NOKIA N900?

Apparently the handset has been delayed until November. The good news, as BGR points out, is that the n900 supports T-Mobile 3G. So assuming Project Black means cheap plans, the timing could actually work out well for prospective buyers. Keep...

NOKIA BOOKLET 3G HANDS-ON

That $599 non-subsidized price still sounds silly and $299 with a 2-year $60 monthly contract seems almost more extreme but there's no denying that the Booklet 3G is a truly premium netbook. It's light, strong and very elegant, with an aluminum chassis, wonderful keyboard and spacious two-finger-scroll touchpad. NOKIA N900 EXTENSIVE PREVIEW

Our amateur sleuthing skills tell us there might be a tiny bit of excitement about this N900 device. With the Maemo 5 environment already measured up, it's the turn of the hardware to get exhaustively previewed. The My Symbian team took a look at a prototype unit and were immediately impressed by the 800 x 480 display and relatively compact dimensions for such a loaded phone. The resistive touchscreen was on par with the N97, though it picked up scratches too easily for their liking ( a screen...

NOKIA N86 8MP FINALLY AVAILABLE

It's still showing as a preorder on Nokia USA's own site, but Amazon and the brick-and-mortar flagship stores in Chicago and New York are finally stocking the N86 8MP a little bit of a stretch for the "coming weeks" claim made at the North American version's launch announcement back in July. T he beefy dual slider features a 2.6-inch QVGA OLED display, US 3G up to 3.6Mbps on the downlink, and WiFi  but clearly the big draw is its 8 megapixel cam with Carl Zeiss optics around back accompanied...
