CHANGE NIKON’S D3000?

Nikon's D3000 launched under the long, dark shadow of the D300S, but for entry-level DSLR buyers, it has certainly remained a viable option. For those who passed on the D5000 and tossed their six bills towards this, we're curious to see just how great / terrible it is at Nikon's bottom rung. Are you still enjoying your cam? Do you wish you would've selected a higher-end model? Is the kit lens worth a darn? Feel free to spill your rant in comments below, and make it good  you never know when...

NIKON D3S LEAKED BY UK PRESS

Impending Nikon announcements? You don't have to tell the British Journal of Photography, who today published an article dated for tomorrow (oops!) all about its time with the as-of-yet unannounced D3s. So what can we glean from this report? For starters, standard ISO settings go as high as 12,800 (low is 200) and can be further boosted to an incredulous 102,400. General Imaging G3WP digital camera will be the first waterproof point-and-shoot device from the company, where it will come with a 12.2-megapixel sensor alongside 4x optical zoom for you to get up close and personal with the action without having to stray too near, coupled with a 4.5x digital zoom. A 2.7" LCD display helps you see what you have just captured, while the 116MB of internal memory can be used in case of an emergency, here meaning you've run out of space on your SDHC memory card....

SIGMA’S DP1S

Sigma's DP1 had a lot going for it despite a somewhat steep asking price, plenty of folks were won over by both its sturdy build and image quality. Now, after the world offered up a somewhat muted response to the DP2, the company's announcing an update of the former device. The DP1s features the same sensor and processor as the DP1 but adds some functionality, including the ability to simultaneously shoot separate RAW and JPEG images, and an option to allocate the QS (Quick Set) function to...
