No Android 4.0 for Samsung Galaxy S and Galaxy Tab

Samsung has explained the reasons that led to the decision not to develop an update to Android 4.0 for smartphone Galaxy S and Galaxy Tab tablet (the first model, the one with 7-inch screen launched last year).

Although the Samsung Galaxy S may appear the same as the Samsung Nexus S, like the Galaxy Tab tablet is characterized by specific software elements, such as the TouchWiz user interface, video calling, the Samsung widgets and language and operator customizations that make it difficult to run the Android OS Ice Cream Sandwich smoothly. It is in our opinion a specious excuse, we are confident that a good portion of users with pleasure give up these software elements, to equip its new features of Android 4.0 smartphones.
