Delays In Sight For The First RIM Smartphone With Software BBX

Barclays Capital analysts are skeptical about the possibility that Research In Motion is able to launch early next year, the first smartphone running BBX, the Canadian necessary to remain competitive and to try to stem the decline in sales.

According to analyst Jeff Kvaal of Barclays Capital hardware certification process of the first RIM smartphone with software BBX has suffered some delays, which can probably lead to their introduction until the middle of next year. Kvaal also claims to have found clues to the possible delay through the chain of distributors, while admitting that it could not verify the accuracy of these rumors.
