Some independent developers have started work to develop an update to Android 4.0 for the Samsung  Galaxy S, after the parent has hinted that it would not release the latest version of the Google operating system for this phone.

The update to Android 4.0 for the Samsung Galaxy S is based on official SDK released by Google and is not without its drawbacks. Best results will be seen in the coming weeks, when it becomes available the source code of Android Ice Cream Sandwich, giving developers a way to refine the conversion process.
