Nokia has signed an important agreement with the Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA) in New York to try out a service for payment of transport tickets via NFC-enabled phones.
To be used in the test will be smartphones Nokia 603, will be completed as soon as the development of a software update to enable the management of the SIM card payments via NFC. The new agreement underlines Nokia’s leadership in the field of mobile phones equipped with NFC support, pity only that the Windows Phone platform on which the Finnish company has decided to bet it will be able to handle the NFC only in the course of next year.
