Apple Orders New Screens to Make The iPad Mini

An iPad Mini with 7.85-inch touchscreen could reach the market early next year, according to reports published today by the Taiwanese newspaper Economic Daily News.

Apple would have received from LG Display and AU Optronics first samples of the display which will be used on the new tablet, with a width of 7.85 inches and the same resolution of 1024 x 768 screen iPad, and iPad 2. With a more compact body and certainly a more affordable price, the Mini iPad would allow Apple to make inroads on a new type of customer, at the same time curbing the rise of tablet compact as Amazon’s Kindle coming soon in USA.
