On the occasion of the QNX Auto Summit 2011, Japan emerged as the new software platform that Research In Motion is working with renewed commitment to address the challenges of the market of smartphones and tablets.

The new BlackBerry OS X (BBX) will be announced in two weeks at the next edition of the BlackBerry DevCon, and in fact will lead to a unification of the smartphone software, and that of the tablet, with enhanced capabilities for multitasking and multimedia and control via touch user interface.
