And has now been announced – Samsung has applied for injunctions against the iPhone 4S. The South Korean company announced on the official Samsung Tomorrow blog.

The injunctions are to be filed today in Paris and Milan. The goal is to sales of the iPhone 4S in France and Italy to block. In the two patent lawsuits Samsung appoints each on two patent infringement. Both of these are patents relating to the mobile functionality of the iPhone 4S. Samsung also plans in other countries submitted preliminary injunctions.

Samsung now try in the global patent war with Apple to build up a bargaining chip. Since Samsung is now probably no other choice. It is unclear whether they can finally get it banned the iPhone really 4S. With such basic technologies it may well be that Samsung will be forced to license to Apple. In this case, however, then Apple would have to pay. Of course, even assuming the Samsung wins, but we can probably assume that it is on this point at Samsung hopeful.
