Research In Motion has announced the launch of the BlackBerry Management Center, a free online service dedicated to small enterprises to manage smartphones business and those of employees, using cloud technology and protecting the content found on smartphones. The service is designed for enterprises that have up to 100 BlackBerry smartphones that access to email services by connecting to a particular ISP (Internet service provider) or Web mail services like Gmail, Hotmail and Yahoo.
The BlackBerry Management Center allows easy management of the smartphone business on the cloud and those owned by the employees, also minimizes the risk in case of loss or theft of the same and to continue working in spite of these drawbacks. The service offers different features for small businesses:
- Back up wirelessly daily, weekly or monthly data stored on the BlackBerry that let you easily retrieve the content relating to the business.
- You can save the contents of a lost or stolen smartphone, Remote locking, and if necessary, deleting them completely, including those contained in the microSD card.
- A lost BlackBerry can be tracked using remote access. With this mode because you can lock the handset, ring and make it appear on the display the desired message.
- The content and settings are easily restorable parts of a smartphone.
- Ability to reset a password
