Research In Motion today announced plans to launch five new BlackBerry smartphones based on the BlackBerry operating system 7. RIM, along with the telephone companies and its distribution partners around the world, is introducing two new models of the BlackBerry Bold and BlackBerry Torch of three new models, all with the powerful new BlackBerry OS 7.
The introduction of this new family of handheld devices for RIM will be the biggest product launch I’ve ever done. More than 225 distributors have already requested over 500 certifications for these five new smartphone.I new smartphone, based on 7 BlackBerry, offering users a wide range of formats and, thanks to the new generation of hardware and software platforms RIM represent the ultimate in communications, multimedia and productivity.
The new BlackBerry Bold 9900 and BlackBerry Bold 9930 (version for U.S. market) are thinner smartphones that RIM has ever made, and all offer a keyboard and a bright touch. The new BlackBerry 9810 Torch incorporates the popular features of the BlackBerry 9800 Torch, which adds a large touch with a convenient slide-out keyboard. The BlackBerry 9860 and BlackBerry 9850 Torch Torch introduce a new design and full touch screen designed to enhance greater than a BlackBerry smartphone has had so far.

The next generation of BlackBerry smartphones will be available by the end of this month, with distributors around the world. The dates for the availability of smartphones will be announced in collaboration with local distributors of RIM.
