RIM Releases New BlackBerry Messenger 6

Research In Motion has announced the availability of BBM version 6 (BBM 6), which provides support for the applications ‘related to BBM’, whereby users can easily interact with each other directly by an application connected to the BBM.

The applications related to complement the popular features of the BBM service and offer users the ability to interact with their friends directly from the application. For example, with an application of game users can invite their friends present in BBM to participate in a game and at the same time, chat with each other without ever leaving the application. A selection of applications related to BBM is already available in the BlackBerry App World.

Some of the additional features that will be available in applications related to BBM include the ability to:

• Share applications with friends – When a user finds a new application connected to the BBM of interest, can immediately report it to a friend, simply selecting a contact directly from BBM BBM-related use.

• Instant messaging applications directly from BBM – Users can view your contact list directly from BBM connected to and start chatting. This feature makes possible more advanced gaming experience and improve collaboration with productivity applications.

• Discovering new applications thanks to their friends – Users can also discover new applications by viewing the list of published applications in the profile of a friend in BBM. With a simple click, then you can download those of interest directly from the BlackBerry App World.
