Motorola Improved Sales But Disappoints on The Tablet

Motorola Mobility has closed the second quarter with a loss of $ 56 million, a result that is an improvement as compared to a negative 81 million loss recorded last winter. The U.S. producer has sold 4.4 million in the second quarter of Android, with a significant increase compared to 2.7 million smartphones sold in the same period last year. The real disappointment came from the tablet Motorola Xoom, even though it is now available not only in the U.S., global sales totaled only 440 000 units.

I want to reach the top of Motorola’s assets biliancio in the coming months, thanks to new high-end smartphones coming soon in the U.S. and Chinese market. The launch of new products of high end Motorola’s, at least in the U.S. market, will have to deal however with the arrival of the ‘Apple iPhone 5. During the autumn it is also expected to be a Motorola Android tablet with 7-inch touchscreen for home users, as well as a tablet shell shock resistance for the professional customers.
