WesternDigital VelociRaptor is characterized as a traditional hard drive, small format (2.5 inches) but very fast, reaching 10,000 rpm versus 7,200 rpm or 5,400 rpm hard drives more traditional. It has always been a device aimed at advanced users and demanding, but after the arrival of the SSD’s future is quite uncertain.
