Intelligent Android home screen from Larva Labs

HTC and Motorola may have done their best to whip Android's interface into shape, but it looks like the folks at Larva Labs still weren't satisfied with the options available, so they've naturally gone ahead and designed their own UI (with a little help from Ideas on Purpose). While it's unfortunately still just a concept, the firm's so-called "Intelligent Home Screen" does bring plenty of interesting ideas to the table, which Larva Labs says should help it "appeal to Blackberry owners and...

Pentax’s waterproof Optio W80 reviewed

We've always heard that life was full of compromises, and evidently Pentax made a few when it decided to build its toughest, most rugged point-and-shoot camera of all time. The cam is sitting at $430 pretty much everywhere, so the only question left...

That being said, Chinese PMP maker Ramos might be able to lift your spirits with its announcement of an ARM-based Android MID that supports 1080p MKV, AVI and other video formats. The teaser image released with the news release sure looks quite similar to the Rockchip concept device, so you’ll want to keep your fingers crossed. The good news is that we probably...

The reason invoked by Apple is that Google Voice duplicates the dialer function included in the iPhone and replaced a “native function”, which is grounds for a rejection. The rejection would have occurred in July during a phone conversation with top executives (Apple's Phil Schiller and Google's Alan Eustace) from both companies. Apple has previously said that Google Voice was technically still being reviewed,...
